Attorney General Mohamed Anil has said that the youth are criticized in the society because of the disrespectful behavior of some of the youth.
Attorney General Mohamed Anil made this remark in the ceremony held at Bandos Island Resort on Tuesday, to inaugurate the annual Youth Leadership Program organized by Democracy House.
Anil said that many are concerned with the disrespectful behavior of some of the youth regarding their country, their homeland and their family.
Therefore, Anil said that these matters should be identified and corrected.
The attorney general called the youth to respect women, men, elders and even the children.
In addition to this, he said that opinions of youths have to be considered in formulating policies and regulations of Maldives.
The Attorney General added that instead of others deciding on what is good for youths, it is essential to identify what the youths need from them.
