Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar to visit the Maldives this month

Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is scheduled to visit the Maldives this month.
According to a statement released by India's External Affairs Ministry Jaishankar will leave for Sri Lanka and the Maldives on a three-day visit from Thursday, 19 January to next week Friday.
Jaishankar will hold talks with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid during his visit.
The visit will also include the signing of several agreements between India and the Maldives and the inauguration and handover of several projects.
This marks Jaishankar's third visit to the Maldives. Last year, he inaugurated the Police Academy in Addu City, a project worth USD 30 million.
