Dutch former-footballer and Liverpool FC legend, Dirk Kuyt has made a special appearance at Maldives Food Carnival 2025, as a special guest of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).
The event, held Thursday, drew an enthusiastic crowd of fans, reaffirming the immense global appeal of both football and the Maldives as a premier destination for sports tourism. A special event was held at the Liverpoool Football Club Fan Zone where local media representatives were invited for an exclusive media meet with the legendary football player.
As a special guest of Visit Maldives, Dirk Kuyt engaged warmly with the attending media and fans. He posed for photographs, answered questions, and created joyful memories for everyone present.
Dirk Kuyt is renowned for his iconic goal during the 2012 League Cup Final that secured the trophy for Liverpool FC. He is a celebrated former professional footballer who played as a forward for top clubs including Liverpool FC, Feyenoord, and Fenerbahçe. He earned over 100 caps for the Netherlands national team and played a key role in their 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign.
