Civil Court employees file complaints with JSC against two judges

A case has been filed against two Civil Court judges, Hafiza Abdul Sattar and Abdulla Ihusan.
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has not yet commented on the case filed by Civil Court employees against Hafiza and Ihusan.
It is learned that employees filed a complaint against Judge Hafiza last week, citing dissatisfaction with the way she treats staff. Hafiza has faced complaints in the past as well.
Civil Court judge Hafiza Abdul Sattar: The court's employees filed a case with the JSC against her, November 30, 2025.
A case against Judge Ihusan was filed with the JSC a few days ago. While details remain unclear, reports suggest an investigation has been launched.
Civil Court judge Abdulla Ihusan: The court's employees filed a case with the JSC against him, November 30, 2025.
The JSC is also investigating cases against two other Civil Court judges, including criminal charges. One of these cases is also under police investigation.
Earlier, a case against Chief Justice of the Civil Court Mariyam Waheed was filed with the JSC, though that case remains unresolved.
The JSC is reportedly investigating cases against five High Court judges. One of them, Justice Mohamed Faisal, has resigned. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) later confirmed it was investigating cases against Faisal.
This year, the JSC and ACC also reviewed cases against three Supreme Court judges: Husnu Al Suood, Azmiralda Zahir, and Mahaz Ali Zahir. Suood resigned after the three were suspended. The JSC later decided to remove Mahaz and Azmiralda from their posts, a move that drew criticism. Parliament subsequently voted to dismiss the two judges.
