Former President Mohamed Nasheed has met the new President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena.
Former President Nasheed made President Sirisena yesterday morning at the President’s Office in Colombo.
Nasheed extended his greetings to the new President of Sri Lanka for his success in the recent Presidential Election.
He held discussions with President Sirisena to strengthen the ties between Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Chairperson of MDP, Ali Waheed, former Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis Abdulla Shahid, former foreign Minister Ahmed Naseem and former Health Minister Aminath Jameel accompanied Nasheed during this visit.
