Journalist involved in the case of blackmailing and drugging minors to prostitution

“Vaguthu” has confirmed that a journalist active in Fuvahmulah is among the 10 individuals arrested for blackmailing and drugging  minors to prostitution. 
“Vaguthu” has confirmed that the 50 year-old arrested in the case is a journalist working in an online news at Fuvahmulah.
Other detainees in the case involve two businessmen، some influential people of the island and senior political activists.
Reportedly، Police is investigating a case of prostitution by using two minors; a 14 year-old girl and a 16 year-old girl.
The matter is currently being investigated by a team of Fuvahmulah Police Station in collaboration with a special team of Family and Child Protection department.
“Vaguthu” has learned that the arrestees are; four individuals from Dhoodigamu، two individuals from Funaadu، Individual from Miskiyymagu، individual from Maadhandu، and two individuals from Hoadhandu.
“Vaguthu” has learned that Police have searched the residence of the arrestees and confiscated related materials to the case from some houses.
