Maldivians will go over the China Maldives Friendship Bridge to vote in 2018 elections : Minister Zameer

Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer have said that Maldivians will go over the China Maldives Friendship to vote in 2018 presidential elections.
Speaking at a ceremony held tonight to celebrate 3 year-anniversary of the current administration, Zameer said that any government after President Yameen’s government when comparing the development of Maldives, should compare it with the development brought by President Yameen’s government. He said that it is President Yameen who brought and will bring development to Maldives.
Minister Zameer said that it was a high priority of the government to gain international investor confidence. He said that the government passed an SEZ legislation and it boosted investor confidence. In addition, he said that as a result of this legislation, hundreds of investments came to Maldives in the last three years.
Zameer said that as part of President Yameen’s project to develop the tourism industry, 22 new resorts will be opened before the end of this year. He said that thousands of new jobs will be created because of this.
Minister Zameer said that President Yameen will deliver his pledges. He said that before assuming office President Yameen met with Indian Prime Minister and promised that the government will act according to the decision of the GMR arbitration and since then have acted as he promised.
In addition, Minister said that one of the biggest scandal this government faced was the MMPRC case and the government has prosecuted everyone involved in it. Also he said that the government has started recovering the money lost in the scandal.
