Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb has thanked President Abdullah Yameen for his work on empowering the youth of the nation.
He made the statement in a tweet posted following the changes made to the Constitution regarding the age for Presidents and Vice Presidents on Wednesday.
Adeeb’s tweet said that this was a historic day in the Maldivian history and that President Yameen had worked very hard to empower the youth.
In addition to the thanks to President Yameen, he also thanked Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), Maldivian Development Alliance (MDA), Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and Jumhooree Party (JP).
It has been reported that cycle rally will be held on Saturday evening to mark the support of the youth to the Government. It is rumored that senior officials of the Government, Minister Adeeb and a large number of the youth population will join the rally.
