Night flights commence at Muli Airport

Night flight operations have officially begun at Muli Airport, the first airport in Meemu Atoll.
In a post on its official Facebook page today, Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) announced that night operations have commenced at Muli Airport and that they have welcomed the inaugural night flight.
Muli Airport was officially inaugurated on May 20, 2024, by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Muli Airport marks the 19th airport to open in the Maldives and the 14th domestic airport.
The development of Muli Airport, contracted to MTCC, began in 2021. The airport features a 1.2-kilometer runway and was developed with modern facilities. A total of 36 hectares of land was reclaimed from the island for the project.
According to the government, the total cost of the Muli Airport project amounted to 540 million Rufiyaa upon completion.
