Turkish Engineering Consultant and Contracting Co (TUMAS) has been contracted with designing of the Hulhumale’ Youth City and overall management of the project.
In a ceremony held this afternoon at HDC, the MD of HDC Muhammad Simon said that they awarded the contract to TUMAS after referring to the guidelines of Saudi Fund, the financer of the project.
Simon said that they will design the connecting bridge, harbor, tourism island and other such infrastructure. Also, they will manage the engineering concepts during the project.
Simon said that they have finished many other projects they are working on right now. He said that sheet piling and designing of some areas have been completed.
In addition, he said that in the third quarter of this year, they will start finding contractors to develop places where the designs are complete.
Officials from TUMAS said that they will finish the project before the deadline. The total cost of the project is 3 million dollars.
