President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has stated that even if a verdict is issued to a Minister، the verdict will be implemented without any hesitation.
Speaking at a ceremony held at Dhiggaru for Farish Maumoon’s campaign، President Yameen stated that the incumbent government will not interfere in the judiciary system.
He added that however، if the cases are proceeding without a speed، the President will encourage to hasten the pending cases.
President Yameen said that it is not the responsibility of President to issue the verdicts and therefore the president will not interfere in the trials or the verdicts.
The judges should try to conclude the cases as soon as possible to limit the crimes in Maldives، said the President.
President Yameen highlighted on the fact that the Maldives will be safe when verdict is issued on the criminals and said that crimes should not be enforced in the Maldives.
In his speech، President Yameen requested the constituents to elect Farish Maumoon as their MP. President added that the progress and development of the constituency will be easier when Farish is elected as the MP.
