ADK Hospital has stated the youth injured in the road accident last night is still in a serious condition.
A 19 year old youth was seriously injured in a road accident at Alikileygefaanu Magu and Kalhuhuraa Magu junction at around 19:05 on Sunday night.
The hospital informed the youth sustained injuries to his head and is currently under treatment at the hospital.
“His condition is still serious.”
The youth injured in the accident has suffered serious injuries to forehead and the back of the head. The victim has also broken his skull approximately to 3 inch from the forehead.
An eyewitness has informed “Vaguthu” that the motorist was trying to control speed when he saw a pedestrian trying  to cross the road. However، the witness said، the motorist lost the control and fell onto the pavement – resulting in serious injuries.
A police officer at the scene stopped a taxi and took the injured to ADK immediately.
