An appeal has been made to Home Minister Umar Naseer to get an MRI scan done for former president Nasheed، who is currently serving a 13 year jail sentence after being convicted of terrorism.
The statement released by president Nasheed’s office today says that after being being treated in ADK Hospital on 19th August، he was suggested to do an MRI scan after two weeks.
The statement says that former president Nasheed’s lawyer Hassan Latheef requests the Home Minister to get an MRI scan done on Nasheed، in accordance with the doctor’s suggestion.
“On 19th August، doctor suggested to carry physiotherapy for two weeks، to rest in a stress free environment like home. Doctor said that the best treatment for president Nasheed will be confirmed when the MRI scan is done after 2 weeks”، was said in the statement.
This statement also mentioned that ex-president Nasheed was transferred to the prison after two weeks against the suggestions of the doctor.
