A fire broke out at the waste disposal ground in Baa atoll Eydhafushi on Tuesday late night.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) informed that the fire، which broke out at the waste disposal ground of Eydhafushi at around 23:15 last night was controlled and put out at 03:30، by Police، with the help of the island council and the island residents.
Police further stated that the smoke from the fire spread to the major parts of island، affecting many residents.
No damage or injuries were reported due to the fire.
Police are currently investigating the matter.
