Ministry of Youth and Sports was crowned champion of the Civil Service Badminton Tournament, which was played between various government institutions. Youth ministry won the tournament by defeating gender ministry’s Badhahi team at the final match played at the Male Sports Complex (Ekuveni) Badminton Hall on Saturday night. Youth triumphed over Badhahi with a set of 3-1. Youth minister Ahmed Zuhoor warmly congratulated the team on their victory. The tournament began on Thursday with the participation of Club Immigration, Civil Service Commission Club, Maaliyya team and Treasury team of Finance Ministry, Hiya team of Housing Ministry, Badhahi team and Gender team of Gender Ministry, Youth Ministry, Department of National Registration, Roashanee team and Team Health of Health Ministry, Fisheries Ministry, and Blue team and Green team of Environment Ministry. The tournament was organised by the Badminton Association of Maldives ( BAM ) to encourage friendly relations among government institutions and to increase badminton’s popularity.
