The youth injured in the stabbing on Saturday night had died during treatment at ADK Hospital.
Jailam Ahmed Shakir، 24، was pronounced dead at 23:15 due to the injuries he sustained in the stabbing tonight.
Police said Jailam was attacked while he was seated in front of “Hundred Flower” house in the road in front of Dharubaaruge at around 22:10 on Saturday night.
Reports say he was stabbed by a group of four individuals، who came on motorcycles and fled after the attack. Following the attack، a group of people at the area reportedly took Jailam to the hospital on a pick-up
Police have not disclosed if they have arrested any suspects regarding the case.
