President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent Independence Day felicitations to President Pranab Mukherjee, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India.
In separate messages sent to the Indian President and Prime Minister, President Yameen has extended warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and the people of the Maldives, to the Government and the people of India, on the happy occasion of India’s Independence Day. He has also expressed his confidence that ties of friendship and understanding that exist between the Maldives and India will continue to strengthen in the coming years.
In his message, President Yameen has extended his good wishes for the continued progress and welfare of the people of India.
