Former President Mohamed Nasheed’s legal team has appealed to Prosecutor General to declare Nasheed’s terror charges verdict as illegal.
Speaking to press, the legal team stated that the case was tried on unfair grounds and as such they have sent the details to PG yesterday morning. The lawyers noted that there was no investigation chearried out on the charges and due to that no criminal charges can be filed.
Lawyers repeated that the arrest and detention of Criminal Court Judge Abdullah Mohaed was carried out without the involvement of Nasheed. They added that Supreme Court records show that MNDF was behind the arrest and also that Supreme Court had ordered MNDF to release the Judge.
