One of the best thing a father can do for his children is to get them into the habit of performing regular Salat.
That is not something easy for mothers to do. But sometimes mothers do take their children to the mosque. They even go to fetch them home from the mosque. That is such a good thing.
It is important for a father to take his son regularly to the mosque. It is something that should be done as time permits, because sending children alone to the mosque is not good. Usually those who go alone will join other “naughty” kids and misbehave.
If we are to witness these good habits we see in Eid prayer, then our society can surely develop as a truly Islamic society.
It is a good scene to watch, when mothers take little babies to Eid prayers while fathers older children with them.
Parents should give gifts to children. But, the most expensive gift of all is getting them into the habit of regular prayer. There is no other gift that is more expensive than this.
