Fisheries and Agriculture Minister Dr. Mohamed Shainee has stated that the fisheries app “Keyohu” will provide an additional assistance to fishermen.
The app was launched in a ceremony held in Kanduoygiri this morning by Dr. Shainee and International Pole and Line Foundation Chairman John Burton.
The app was developed by International Pole and Line Federation and Fisheries Ministry and cost US$ 100,000 to develop. The app was funded by export nations.
Speaking in the ceremony, Dr. Shainee said the app will provide immense benefits to the fishermen and exporters. He added that the app will greatly reduce the time spent on fish exports and find the best prices for fish exports.
