The youth who was seriously injured in the dangerous road collision in Hulhumalé last night is recovering and is stable، his family says.
The accident occurred between a car and a motorbike at around 21:15 last night، police says.
The Police informed that the 22 year old، who was on the motorbike succumbed at the hospital، after the motorbike crashed into a car during the attempt to flee from traffic Police.
Family member of the injured youth said although he has broken arm and leg، his condition is getting better، and has been taken in for operation. He is under treatment at IGMH.
IGMH media coordinator Zeenath Ali Habeeb said the injured youth is stable، however، his left chest bone، left arm and left leg has been broken.
While the motorbike has been damaged beyond repair، the car، owned by “Elite Inn” sustained extensive damages as well. The driver، though not injured seriously، was taken to the hospital immediately.
This is by far the most dangerous road accident occurred in Hulhumalé  this Ramadan.
