Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham has said that any program carried out to train the youth for employment was a step forward for the nation.
She made the statement speaking in the closing ceremony held in Hotel Jen of the apprenticeship program carried out by One and Only Reethi Rah.
Minister said that the President had always given priority to bringing in youth to the work force. She added that progress can only be brought if the youth fully takes part in the training opportunities available and enter the work force.
Addressing the participants Dr. Shiham said that every person will face immense challenges in the workforce, urging them to push ahead in spite of the challenges to achieve success.
Minister Shiham said that carefulness and perseverance were key in progressing ahead.
Dr. Shiham thanked the management of One and Only Reethi Rah for the well-structured and excellent program.
Reethi Rah General Manager Jean Luc said that the resort will carry out more programs like this in the future and added that those who complete the program will be given jobs from the resort.
