Dhiraagu has announced that 3G service will be provided to all the islands of Maldives before the year concludes.
At a press conference today at Dhiraagu Head Office، Dhiraagu’s Assistant Manager of Public Relations Imjad Jaleel said that whereas most of the islands now receive 3G service، by the end of the year، every island will be provided with Dhiraagu 3G service.
Imjad said that Dhiraagu teams are working in different corners of the country to install 3G service in the islands.
Imjad also mentioned that 97% of the population now use the Dhiraagu 3G service.
He noted that among the other 3%، some of the islands have a very small population.
According to Imjad، the list of islands currently provided with 3G and the islands to be provided with 3G service will be released in the coming week.
Dhiraagu is the only company that has been providing 3G service to a large part of the country’s population.
