B. Dharavandhoo Council has announced that ‘Magey Bageecha,’ a park developed on the island, will be inaugurated on the eve of Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated with a fireworks display.
‘Magey Bageecha’ is a park developed by Dharavandhoo Council.
Speaking with Sun, Dharavandhoo Council President Ali Samih said the park is a large space developed by the Council, which will appeal to people of all ages.
According to Samih, all works related to the park were carried out by the Council staff during their spare time without hiring an external party. He underscored the huge support received from the island’s sports clubs, non-governmental organizations and businesses in the development of the party.

Samih detailed that the party includes a café, toilets, a space to host major events, an outdoor gym, a running track and a play area for children.
The park will be inaugurated at 20:00pm on the eve of Eid al-Adha. Samih noted that the inauguration ceremony will feature a show by Roboman and a fireworks display.
In this regard, the Roboman show is scheduled 21:00pm while a five-minute firework display will be held from 22:30 onwards.
