Ooredoo Maldives has introduced its next-generation AI-powered Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) solution at the Mobile World Congress in Doha, Qatar.
The company said the system, now live across its digital SIM activation channels, delivers fraud-resistant identity verification and instant onboarding designed to enhance digital services.

The AI-enabled system applies a multi-layered pipeline:
Camera-based ID and selfie capture
AI OCR extraction and field validation
Liveness and anti-spoofing checks
Face-to-ID matching and database verification
Instant SIM activation upon approval
