Bank of Maldives (BML) on Sunday, 25 October, confirms the introduction of digital PIN service.
Moreover, the national bank comments the new service comes in line with their strategic focus on digitalization.
According to BML, customers can now set or change their PIN for debit, credit or prepaid cards “instantly via Internet Banking.”
Furthermore, this service introduction eliminates customers requiring to physically attend BML service centers to set up or change their PIN credentials.
Meanwhile, BML’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer notes “we’re delighted to announce the introduction of our digital PIN service.”
“This comes as part of our digitalization roadmap which has seen the introduction of numerous online banking services including banking registration, and online queueing for the first time in the bank.”
Moreover, he adds “the new digital PIN will significantly improve customer experience by eliminating processing and waiting times required for paper-based PINs.”
