ADK has stopped asking patients to seek healthcare abroad in every case.
Speaking at the Maldives Medical and Health Expo, the MD of ADK Ahmed Afaal said that there are many medical facilities available in Maldives and top class services are available in Maldives. “ A lot of people often ask if they should seek health care abroad but we answer them saying that now we do not advise like that” said Afaal.
He said that, through this expo people will learn about the facilities available in Maldives and that will be a huge progress to the health sector. He further said that people travel abroad even now and spend a lot, because they are unware about the facilities available in Maldives.
“However, when people know more about the facilities in Maldives and when people seek medical care in Maldives, this money will rotate within the country. The whole country will benefit from this. Even the health sector will develop” said Afaal.
He said that the quality of services provided in Maldives is increasing and the next step is people accepting this. He said that the quality of services will develop when people accept and support it.
