Member of Parliament for Kaashidhoo Constituency Faisal Naseem has said that expatriates fill high level positions in tourism sector not for the lack of talented locals.
He attributed this to the culture of hiring expatriates for such jobs but stressed that there were many educated and talented locals to fill the positions.
Faisal added that it was extremely vital that jobs were secured for locals to hold currency in the country. He said that it was the responsibility of the Government to ensure that such a policy was fostered in the country.
Faisal stressed on the importance of enacting timely actions on such issues, especially given the economic slowdown.
