Injured youth at Addu City Hithadhoo over a brutal assault by masked assailants، had died amid treatment.
The injured victim، who passed away sometime in the morning today، while being attended for wounds is identified as Hussain Shiyar، 19، Athena، Hithadhoo.
According to Hithadhoo police station officers، the 19-year old youth had died while being attended for wounds، around 10:45hrs in the morning، today.
Reports confirm that Shiyar had received various degrees of injuries on his head and spine، he was attacked with sharp-edged weapons، confirms officials. Shiyar was assaulted by a group of individuals who had covered their faces with masks.
At this point no arrests have been made regarding the case، however Hithadhoo police station is actively on the hunt to track down possible suspects attached to the assault-turned-murder.
Hussain Shiyar was brutally attacked around 23:00hrs last night، while he was at his residence.
