Current Islamic minister and Maldives Islamic University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Ali Shaheem Ali Saeed has advised not to abandon the large proportion of youth out on the streets.
He urged the citizens not to let the abandoned youth be and to work harder to guide them towards paradise.
“What we are seeing today is that we are letting the youth addicted to drugs be and abandoning them and just working on our own teams” He said.
Furthermore, he said that letting them be like that is not the right thing to do. “We need to hold their hands and bring them closer to us. The way we are working to strive for paradise, we need to guide them along as well.” He said.
He also said that abandoning them just like that would be against the ways of mercy.
