The new ambassador of Mexico to the Maldives، Mrs. Melba Pría Olavarrieta has called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning.
Foreign Minister welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated her on her appointment، and discussed ways of further strengthening the relations between two countries both bilaterally and multilaterally.
The Ambassador assured her commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the Maldives and Mexico.
Mrs. Melba Pria presented her credentials to President Abdulla Yameen yesterday. The president and ambassador underscored the importance of combating the issue of climate change during the meeting held at the President’s Office on Monday.
