Indian High Commissioner Rajiv Shahare has called on all to take part in the “Indian Taste” food festival carried out to mark the Golden Jubilee of India Maldives relations.
He made the appeal speaking to Miadhu after the opening ceremony of the festival held in Hotel Jen on Wednesday.
Shahare stated that there were many who had experienced the best that Indian cuisine has to offer. He added that the purpose of the “Spice Root Challenge” was to ensure that many Maldivians showcase their talent in creating Indian food.
Shahare noted that there were many similarities between the cuisines of the two nations and played a vital role in the bilateral relations. He added that Maldivian food had also impacted Indian culture.
Shahre added that he wished to make the challenge an international one and was open to all to take part in.
