Nepali Minister of Commerce and Supply Sunil BahadhurThapa has stated that there are no areas in which Nepal does not need aid, following the nationwide destruction caused by the massive earthquake.
He made the statement to a question posed by Miadhu news in the opening ceremony of the photo and art exhibition organized by the China News Agency held in Kunming.
“Given the present states of Nepal, there is no area in which we do not need aid in,” he said.
He remarked that a donor conference will be held on the 25th of this month and stated that this conference would immensely boost the funding.
“We are waiting for aid. We are waiting for the day Santa Claus will come with the parcels. When we get the parcels, we will know what our next step is,” he said.
China News Agency had unveiled many pictures that showcased the devastation caused by the earthquake. The Agency stated that the pictures would be sold in many parts of China and the proceeds from the exhibition would be donated to the Nepal relief fund.
