Betty Tucker، has received more than 5000 Birthday cards from around the globe on her 104th Birthday.
She has received cards from countries like Australia، China، America and Singapore due to an Social media campaign carried out to mark her Birthday.
The campaign kicked off a month ago when Betty was asked what she expected the most as Birthday gift to which she replied she wanted a Birthday card the most. Since most of her closest friends have departed، and Betty would receive fairly no such gifts from too many people، the staff at her cair centre launched the campaign by starting a Facebook page.
Betty who takes a huge interest in creating cards for special occasions، was surprised to receive 70 Birthday cards on her previous birthday، but this time around she was more than surprised and lost for words when she received Birthday cards amounting somewhere around 5600 or more.
Apart from beautiful gift cards، Betty is a huge fan of football and she has kept a regular record of watching Liverpool play their games، thus she received a visit from former Liverpool star Ian Rush. Betty also received a gift card bearing signatures of all the current squad members of Liverpool as well as a Liverpool football squad jersey with Betty’s name imprinted on it.
