We are not unwelcome to the abbreviation EDM these days، in fact we are so well acquainted with the word that، it is far more regarded and known more than the expansion of abbreviations like UNFPA or WWF or perhaps LOTR! You know what I mean، right?
Now، EDM، as in Electronic Dance Music has broken through barriers and have come out as the “new age” music. Reasons are both understandable and rational، for instance، night life in a lot of countries involve DJs، discos and parties، which all have one thing in common; a dance floor for people to dance (even if they didn’t know it).
Artists like Martin Garrix، Deadmau5، Steve Aoki، Swedish House Mafia، AVICII are well known for their hit electronic dance music tunes. You all would have danced to the likes of “Animal” (by Garrix)، “Don’t You Worry Child” (by Swedish House Mafia) or “Wake me up” (by AVICII)، and you all have loved it.
Now، if I am to say، that there is an 11 year old out there producing electrifying dance tunes، you might not believe what I have to say، but in fact it is real!
Meet Rhys، the 11 year old Australian DJ backed and discovered by Triple J Unearthed. When at first، Triple J discovered this fresh and young talent، they shocked and awed with the power and new-age drive of Rhys’s music that they decided to play one of his tunes on their radio channel. The kid was ecstatic and excited، and the tune picked up well.
