His Excellency Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and member of the Cabinet of the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu this afternoon at the President’s Office.
The President conveyed his appreciation to the Government of Qatar for the generous assistance to the Maldives over the past decades that has substantively contributed to the socioeconomic development of the Maldives.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs thanked the President and the Government of Maldives for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his delegation during the visit.
Reflecting on the strong brotherly ties between Qatar and the Maldives, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs reiterated the continued commitment of the Government of Qatar to explore additional opportunities to elevate the existing development partnership.
Discussions then focused on strengthening cooperation in a host of fields that hold mutual benefit for the people of both countries, including energy, education, investments, culture and healthcare.
