Ahmed Shany Crowned “King of the Tournament” at Milauthuru Futsal Championship

The prestigious title of “King of the Tournament” at the Milauthuru Futsal Tournament has been awarded to Ahmed Shany from the Milandhoo team, recognizing his outstanding performance and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council, the tournament brought together teams from various islands across the atoll, culminating in an exciting final match held last night in Kanditheemu. The Kanditheemu team triumphed over Milandhoo with a decisive 6–2 victory, claiming the championship title.
The closing ceremony celebrated the spirit of the tournament with the presentation of cash prizes, trophies, and medals to the top performers. The event was graced by Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif, along with Sh. Atoll Council President Mohamed Shiyam, Kanditheemu Council President Ahmed Ahsan, and several other council presidents and vice presidents from the atoll.
Following a highly competitive series of matches, Ahmed Shany (jersey number 30, Milandhoo) emerged as the Top Scorer, netting eight goals to earn the coveted title of “King of the Tournament.”

Best Goalkeeper: Abdullah Saeed (#81, Maroshi)
Most Promising Player: Ruban Hussain Habeeb (#14, Komandoo)
The Tournament’s Best Five Players were:
Mohamed Nafiu (#5, Kanditheemu)
Raul Niyaz (#9, Kanditheemu)
Ibrahim Saeed (#8, Milandhoo)
Ibrahim Aiman (#10, Bileiyfahi)
Abdullah Nasif (#4, Maroshi)
The champion team, Kanditheemu, received MVR 35,000, along with a trophy and medals. Milandhoo, the runner-up, was awarded MVR 15,000, a trophy, and medals.The Fair Play Award went to Bileiyfahi, while Feydhoo received the title of Best Supporting Team.In recognition of his leadership, Ahmed Fauzan from Kanditheemu was named Best Coach of the tournament.
The Milauthuru Futsal Tournament once again showcased the growing passion for futsal within Shaviyani Atoll, uniting players and fans in celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community spirit.
