The outgoing Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates has praised the administration’s efforts towards Maldives’ development for what he described as notable national progress, during a farewell call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
Sheikh Rahma bin Abdulrahman Alshamsi met with President Muizzu at the President’s Office, as he concluded his diplomatic tenure in the country.
During the meeting, the Ambassador commended the development achieved since the current administration took office, highlighting advancements across key sectors.
President Muizzu, in turn, expressed sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s engagement and support throughout his tenure. The President noted the steady strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the Maldives and the UAE, and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to maintaining close ties.
Both sides concluded the meeting by reiterating their shared commitment to further enhancing the longstanding relationship between the two nations.
