The first outdoor gym developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II has officially opened.
The gym was inaugurated by the Managing Director of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Ali Zuhair at a ceremony held in the area.
The newly opened outdoor gym, featuring 22 types of exercise equipment, is located near the turf ground in Phase II, in the vicinity of the Hiyaa towers. According to HDC, the project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among residents of Hulhumale’ and support community well being.
The population in Hulhumale’ Phase II is increasing rapidly, and multiple initiatives are planned under a new master plan to improve residents’ living environment. HDC said it will continue supporting the government by implementing projects that promote a healthy and productive society.
It is a key presidential pledge of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to establish outdoor gyms in all islands of the Maldives, in line with the National Fitness Plan.
