Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that former President Mohamed Nasheed’s lawyers would be allowed to meet with him every day until the Supreme Court issues a verdict on the appeal case.

Nasheed’s legal team has decided to appeal the lower court’s ruling - after it was appealed by the State. Nasheed’s lawyers said earlier that the case should be appealed by the State.
Home Ministry’s announcement came after Nasheed’s lawyer Hassan Latheef requested for more face time with Nasheed, as the present time allowed of two hours per week was insufficient and causing delays in filing the appeal case to Supreme Court.
