India attaining success globally: Minister Sushma

Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has stated that India was currently attaining success globally.
She made the statement addressing the Indian community in the Maldives in the Tourism Faculty of Maldives National University, on Saturday night.
Sushma said that previously at any global conflict nations relied on American assistance, especially on transferring people. However, she said that this had changed in the past few years, citing that international community had requested for Indian assistance in evacuating citizens from the conflict zone in Yemen. She said that India had managed to evacuate over 3,000 citizens from 48 nations from Yemen in a period of two hours.
Minister Sushma attributed the success of the venture to the strength of the relationship between India and other nations. She added that the ventures started between the two nations were of international standards and extremely successful.
Many distinguished dignitaries and Indian national took part in the meeting. Ambassador Rajiv Shahare gave the opening address, while First Secretary Amarnath delivered the thanks. In his address, Amarnath thanked the Minister for allocating time in her brief visit to meet with Indians residing in Maldives.
