President Yameen have said that development can be attained by following the party ideology and not by following an individual.
President made this statement while speaking to the people of GA.Villigili during his visit to some of the islands in Huvadhu Atoll. President said that in political parties, the party ideology is more important than an individual.
President said that PPM can win 2018 elections with the combined effort of all party members. He said that all the members should work in party spirit.
President noted that some members in party leadership ‘disappeared’ at a time their input was most needful to the party. He said that within 2 years after the party was formed they were able to become the ruling party and now the most important work is to retain party’s rule. He said that, it can be done when all party members work with one spirit.
Even though President Yameen did not explicitly mention it, his talk was directed towards former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.
