Criminal court increases the detainment to all arrested on Sunday night، who are suspected of partaking in recent homicides in Male’.  
15 days of detainment was given by the Criminal Court on Monday to the 5 arrested by the police after searching two houses.
Under a court order the Police Officers in Serious and Organized Crimes Department and Drugs Enforcement Department raided M. Bandufadigge and arrested four who already have previous records of drugs and crimes. In their possession، police confiscated a rubber package containing drugs، two sharp knives، and four mask hoods.
Police also raided M. Azuma and arrested a man suspected of taking part in a crime committed on 28th July. He too had drugs and sharp weapons in his possession.
Police says that Specialist Operation Department، Male’ City Police and Traffic Police joined forces to take lead in controlling the crimes which increased recently. They are deploying officers in different areas in Male’ City، Vilimale’ and Hulhumale’ to minimize the attempts of homicides.
