Minister of Defense and National Security، Major General Rtd. Moosa Ali Jaleel has inspected the salvage operation of “Sun Maamigli” ferry، which sank near Kaafu atoll Vaagali on Monday night، enroute to Maamigili from Male’.
Minister Jaleel inquired on the details of the salvage operation، whilst onboard Maldives Naval Ship Shaheed Ali، which is at the salvage site، and discussed on the operation with the diving team.
The salvage operation is carried out by the diving team assigned by the ferry owner and MNDF Coastguard divers.
Along with Defense Minister، Mohamed Zuhair، the state minister of Defense Ministry and Coastguard Commander Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim also visited the salvage site.
