Ibrahim Rasheed was arrested with a 17 year old girl from G.Maavas by Police on December 6, 2012 on a tip off. Criminal Court last week had transferred Ibrahim Rasheed under house arrest. Police have also forwarded another case of alleged child sexual abuse to the Prosecutor General’s (PG) office for prosecution. Mohamed Zihunee, 35 of Seenu Atoll Feydhoo Shabnamge is being charged in the case. Zihunee has been accused of sexually molesting a 16 year old girl on various occasions, according to Police.
