Six more cases of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) have been confirmed in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) made the reveal on Monday evening, not long after six other cases, one Pakistani, one Bangladeshi and four Maldivians were tested positive.
The new cases include five Maldivians and one Bangladeshi national.
With the discovery of patients 221 - 226, the total number confirmed cases in the island nation has risen to 226, with the total number of Maldivian patients reaching 89.
Further details of all 12 cases reported thus far on Monday have not been revealed.
The most number of cases have been Bangladeshi nationals, which reaches 104.
The highest number of cases thus far were reported on Sunday, at 73 cases.
