BML confirm completion of multiple projects powered Community Fund

Bank of Maldives on Tuesday, 12 April, confirmed the successful completion of multiple community-related projects in various local islands in the country.
According to the largest bank in the island nation, under its Community Fund initiative, the bank has assisted in the successful completion of projects in both Vaavu atoll Felidhoo and Noonu atoll Henbadhoo.
Under the project, a community picnic areas was developed by Felidhoo Zuvaan Ekuveringe Dhirun in the island. The space will be opened up for the island’s local residents, tourists, and visitors alike.
The community picnic area was fitted with traditional seaters (‘joali’), swings, outdoor showers, and a barbeque spot.
On the other hand, an individual recipient from Noonu Henbadhoo, spearheaded the development of a barbeque spot in the island which has now been made accessible for the public.
The barbeque area has been fitted with a mini library, a fish filleting platform, and a dedicated storage area.
BML’s Community Fund aims to “empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.” So far the bank has provided financial assistance for a total of 65 such projects across the coutnry.
