Opposition coalition have stated that they are ready to talk with the government through an international mediatorlike UN.
They revealed this while speaking to the press after holding meetings with the UN representative in Maldives this morning. The meeting was held in the UN building of Maldives.


Leader of JP Qasim Ibrahim said that since the Civil Court order does not say that formerPresident Maumoon is not the president of PPM, the coalition accepts that Maumoon is the president of PPM. Hence coalition will recognize a representative appointed by Maumoon only at the party talks.

They said that today they discussed about their grievances with the UN representative. In addition they also plan to meet with all the diplomats in Maldives.


The coalition said that their purpose is to present their case to the UN via the UN representative. 

Today's meeting was attended by JP leader Qasim Ibrahim, JP deputy leader Abdullah Riyaz, AP Vice President Ali Zahir, MDP PG leader Ibrahim Muhammad Solih and Faarish Maumoon.
