Citizens of both countries benefit from China-Maldives relations : Chinese Ambassador

Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Wang Fukang have said that China and Maldives have not experienced a time where the relation between the two countries were stronger.
He said that citizens of both the countries are benefitting from this strong relation.
He made this statement at an orchestra show held at Olympus to celebrate the 45thanniversary of Maldives and China establishing diplomatic relations.
The ambassador said that it is important to promote cultural activities of both the countries and that he was happy to see some Maldivians performing at the show.
The ambassador noted that while trade and investments are increasing between Maldives and China, the relations among individuals of two countries should be increased as well. At the moment, the work of China-Maldives Friendship bridge is underway, and this is a project largely funded by China. Other notable Chinese assistance include the 17km long highway in Laamu Atoll. China spent more than 30 million dollars on that project.
