President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has attended a reception in Berlin commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Germany.
The event brought together members of the Maldivian delegation, officials of the Germany’s government, diplomats based in Berlin and members of the Maldivian community residing in the country.
President Mohamed Muizzu joined guests in marking six decades of formal ties between the two nations, which established diplomatic relations on 5 July 1966.
As part of the reception, attendees were entered into a lucky draw. Selected winners were awarded holiday packages to the Maldives, including stays at designated resorts and guesthouses.
Officials said the event highlighted the enduring partnership between the Maldives and Germany and underscored opportunities for continued cooperation in the years ahead.
